  • 1921 the first air carrier "Aeronaut" was founded;

  • 1922 Aeronaut built a big steel-concrete hangar at Lasnamäe
  • 1934 May the first Estonian training aeroplane ES-ENN was constructed
  • 1935 December 13 the first estonian pilot Inna Rostfeldt who was trained in Estonia
  • 1936 the first Air Transport Act entered into force
  • 1934 May 2 Ülemiste civil aerodrome was opened
  • 1939 Estonian air operator "Ago" was founded
  • 1940 "Ago"´s and Tallinn airport´s assets were nationalised
  • 1944 Civil Air Force Estonian group was formed
  • 1962 first flight with jet engine aeroplane Tu-124
  • 1990 April 1 Estonian Civil Aviation Administration was founded
    Nõo Secondary school started pilot training
  • 1991 Estonian Air was formed from the Aeroflot branch office in Estonia
  • 1992 Estonia became the 166th member state of ICAO
    Estonian Air divided into two companies: Estonian Air and Estonian airports
